Last night I had to step outside to get a few pictures of the amazing sunset. Because it's early January, it gets dark by about 5pm so it's very strange to be outside BarBQing while it's getting dark.
This is at a neighbors spot in the park.
This is the Information sign about how
the Fountain of Youth came about.
Today we took a drive to a little town called Brawley.
It was about 35 miles but the closest place to find a grocery
store and a Walmart. This is a bit of Main Street.
This was along the highway. I've never seen so
many cows in all my life. They went on for miles.
Along the Hwy between our RV Park and Brawley, there is
an Inspection Station where the US Border Patrol check
for illegal Mexican. They didn't seem interested in us at all.
The Salton Sea is below sea level so there are lots of signs
warning of 'flash flood warnings' along the highway.
They have lots of these culverts built to allow the
water to go through without flooding the tracks.
This is the Mountain which is right behind the RV Resort.
You can't really see them but there are tons of dirt roadways
up the mountain for the ATVs and SideXSides.
Glad you and Lou are enjoying yourselves on your travels. What a beautiful sunset. It felt strange for us to go to bed in Canada/Alaska when it was still light. I don't think we ever saw the sun set while we were there. Just as well it was dark in "George" so that we could get to sleep. Cheers from the land downunder xoxox
