We usually like to be on the road for only 5-6 hours a day so yesterday was a long one for us. We left Sunshine Valley at 8am and didn't actually park the rig until 5pm. We had quite a few stops along the way so it wasn't really too bad. We have decided that our truck, likes to play mind games with us. Lights come one and go off all by them selves. The AC/Heating system stopped working and then after a stop for lunch - started again.
Anyway, I took some pictures along the way so thought I'd share them. There are many tunnels in the Fraser Canyon that you drive through - this one is called "Saddle Rock".
Yes - you guessed it. Summer means Construction areas
and we went through many of these.
The river is beautiful and the highway winds
close to it at many different times.
A very old Church in Spences Bridge.
You never know what you will see on the road...
When you need to stop for groceries...
You take up many parking spaces!
Now - because I am a quilter - I need to stop at Quilt Shops! This is
Ibea's in William's Lake. I am collecting the free patterns for the
Row X Row Experience.
Beautiful wall mural in William's Lake.
An old leftover "Beehive" along the roadside.
Another Quilt Shop - R&R Sewing Centre in Quesnel.
YES - they had a free RXR pattern.
Our stop for the night was planned for 10 Mile Lake
Provincial Campground just north of Quesnel.
After driving through the campground, we realized that
non of the sites would accommodate our Big Rig so we moved on.
Guess where we ended up? Yup - Prince George.
We pulled into Blue Cedars Rv Park and they were only able to put
us in an overflow site in the back 40. Not much to look at but
it did have power/water/cable/wifi. Will take photo as we leave.
