A long day on the road...

We left "Sintich RV Park" in Prince George at 8am this morning with the intentions of stopping in Quesnel for fuel and then spending the night "Big Country RV Park" just south of Lac La Hache.  We found that we were making such good time and arrived at Lac La Hache before noon so we would keep going.  We stopped for fuel and lunch at the Husky in Cache Creek and then back on the road for Sunshine Valley.  We arrived here about 4:15 and all set up before 5pm.

 

We both had a late dinner, shower and then just kicked back for the night.

Just as we were ready to leave Rupert, we received a little rain.  We headed out just after 8am through the very deserted streets on a Sunday morning.

Now this is a crazy corner on the highway.  Traffic must slow

down to 50 km/h.  Any tall vehicles need to move over to the

other lane to get around the hanging rock.

There is a glacier and snow up on those local mountains.

Wouldn't this be a great spot to build a home?  Beautiful!

Back to Fort Telkwa for another night.

We cruised by Vanderhoof.

Through some more road construction.

Saw all the 'Casino Campers' in Prince George.

We pulled into Sintich RV Park around 1pm and decided

just to unhook and take a relaxing afternoon.  

 

 

Last photos from Prince Rupert.

So there is a 'touristy' area in Prince Rupert called "Cow Bay".  They have really tried to spruce up the area using the COW theme.  We walked around and took a bunch of photos so here is a mix.

 

 

 

  

 

  

 

  

  

 

  

 

We are now on our way back home.  We left Rupert yesterday

and spent last night at Fort Telkwa again.  Got hooked up and

then caught up on laundry.  Today we head for Prince George.

 

More from Prince Rupert...

Driving around the streets of PR you can see how old the buildings are.  Although the city to me looks frozen in time, there are some efforts to improve the overall look of the area.  Many buildings have added Murals.  Here are some that we came across in the downtown area.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Tomorrow I will share the last of the pictures from Prince Rupert.

We are leaving town today and heading back to Fort Telkwa for

the night.  Looking forward to our spot looking over the river.
