New Camera, Arizona MarketPlace and Red Lobster

Yesterday we had to do some grocery shopping so we also stopped by Best Buy to replace the camera that I broke.  I bought another Nikon Coolpix but just a more advanced newer version and it was even cheaper than the last one.

Today we went back to the Arizona Outdoor MarketPlace for a couple of items we needed before heading back home.  I just love the outdoor garden ornaments they have and they are so cheap.

Tonight Donna picked us up and we headed out to Red Lobster.  Lou has wanted to try it for years and finally made it.  He ordered the Ultimate Feast and I think he was in heaven.

Free Motion Quilting Class

On Monday, Quilting Day included a class on Free Motion Quilting.  Last week we were given a list of supplies so that we could practice our stitching.  There were 4 different projects during the 6 hour class and I only lasted through 3 of them.  The teacher said we had 36 people signed up for the class which is the largest she has ever taught.

Here are some of the Show 'N Tell quilts.

Saturday - trip out to Castle Dome Mine Ghost Town

On Saturday morning, we joined Donna, Marie T., Bonna, Evelyn, Leo and one other couple and took our little convoy out of town heading north-east towards Quartzite.  The first 30-40 minutes was on paved road and then gravel for another 15-20 minutes.  We finally made it and paid our $10 admission fee to go into the 'museum'.  It is a collection of buildings etc. from a mining town which was big in the 1800s.  It includes wooden boardwalks, old vehicles, tools etc. throughout the town.  We took over 200 photos so I'll just pic and choose some of the best for you.

Sewing Friday at the Clubhouse

Since Thursday was such a long day and I was still suffering when I got up in the morning - I decided that I would just take my laptop to the clubhouse and work on organizing my embroidery designs.  I knew that since Marie had bought her new Brother machine yesterday, I would probably be kept busy helping her to become familiar with it.  A few of the ladies wanted me to show them how I make my fabric postcards so I took some supplies and samples for that too.  Here's Marie with her new Brother Embroidery Machine.
