This morning we decided to take a drive and get a few things done. We picked up an area map at the Resort office and headed downtown. Our first stop was the Palm Springs Car Wash & Detail. With all the sand and salt that was on the highway coming down over the passes - the truck was really calling for a bath. For only $19.95 they hand washed and vacuumed, then it went through the shampoo and waxing, then the rinse, then the dryer and finally they park it and hand dry it and clean the tires, rims, windows (inside & out) and even Armor All for the interior. It was shiny clean!!!
After the car wash we drove over to the Home Depot so Lou could get some plumbing connections to fix a small leak in one of the water hoses. From there we drove around some more and actually found a Joann's Superstore.
I actually didn't find anything to buy but it was a really nice store. We then just drove around to become a little familiar with the area and actually drove by the Air Museum on our way back up to our RV park in Desert Hot Springs.
