We pulled out of The Sands RV just after 10am. It was another beautiful sunny morning and we had a very short trip of only 71 miles to travel so an easy day. After heading east on Hwy 10 past Indio, we then headed south on Hwy 86 towards El Centro. After a short drive we hopped on over to Hwy 111 which would take us over to the East side of the Salton Sea. Here are a few pictures of the travel along Hwy 111.
The Fountain of Youth RV & Spa Resort is very large and almost like a small town in the middle of nowhere. They have all the typical amenities of an RV Resort as well as some extras. Two days a week, a truck comes in and sets up a fresh fruit and vegetable stand. They have lots of daily activities as well as ATV excursions with rentals. They even have a Beauty Salon. Tuesday is when the Quilters meet so ... guess where I'll be?
