Friday, August 10th we were up early and pulled out at 6:45am with the support vehicles leading the Convoy again today. After a while we pulled into Moose Creek Lodge for our morning break. They were just opening and had fresh baked goods as well as hot coffee and hot chocolate. This was a very unique place. Out in the yard surrounding the little restaurant they had some interesting yard art. This morning the MVs weren’t far behind so our stop was short and we were back on the road.

An hour of so later we made a quick stop at a rest area and then on to Klondike River Lodge.

After all the support vehicles had arrived, we left them there and pulled out heading for Dawson City. We decided that since we weren’t taking the RV up the Dempster Hwy to Eagle Plains and the Arctic Circle, we would continue the 22 mile to the next stop and take a 3 day break. We stopped to fuel up at Fischer Fuel which was about 6 miles before Dawson City. These are the nicest people who offered to discount the fuel for all Convoy participants. We rolled into Bonanza Gold Campground for our 3 days rest and then drove into town for a quick lunch. Back to the RV we kicked back, took a nap and then Muriel and Terry arrived and back into the campsite beside us.
