Saturday, August 18th we had a driver’s meeting at 6:30am so we didn’t leave the Hatcher Pass RV Park until 7:10. We continued along the Parks Hwy. heading for the Veteran’s Memorial in Denali National Park.

Only one animal this morning and it was a dead Porcupine. We had a brief stop along the way and arrived at 9:00 am. It was a very long wait for the MVs as the last ones didn’t get in until 11:30 and then they had coffee and everyone met at the Memorial for a group photo.

We headed out again at 12:20 and went straight to the Denali Grizzly Bear Resort.
After changing campsites because the one we were assigned wouldn’t fit us – we managed to get our 2 big rigs set up and it was time to relax. A very short time later the MVs rolled in and it was ‘organised kaos’ getting them into the campground, registered and set in their sites.
